Compare surgeons by the same criteria

Compare two or three surgeons on the same eight points. The table is a checklist, not a ranking: it does not say which surgeon to pick, it tells you what to compare.

What to compareWhy it matters for a noseWhat to look forHow to check
Training and specialtyRhinoplasty is delicate work on cartilage, bone and the airway.A plastic surgeon, or an ENT (facial plastic) surgeon, who does rhinoplasty regularly.HealthTürkiye health professionals directory; Turkish Society of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery member list; EBOPRAS fellows list
Experience with your kind of noseA hump, a thick-skinned nose, a crooked nose and a previous operation are different jobs.Before-and-after photos of noses like yours, ideally taken a year or more after surgery.Ask the surgeon for cases like yours, from their own patients.
Who operatesYou are paying for one named surgeon's hands.A named surgeon in the written quote, and a consultation with that surgeon before you pay.Check the name in the quote against the official directory.
HospitalAnaesthesia, the operating theatre and overnight care all depend on it.A hospital licensed for international patients; international accreditation such as JCI is a plus, not a requirement.HealthTürkiye health facilities list; JCI: find accredited international organizations
Price transparencyA low headline price can hide missing items.A written quote listing surgeon, hospital, nights, grafts, anaesthesia, hotel, transfers and follow-up.Rhinoplasty cost guide: compare like with like.
Revision policySome noses need an adjustment; the rules should be clear before you book.A written answer on whether a revision is offered, when, and at what cost.Ask in writing; see the revision guide.
Follow-upHealing takes a year, and you will be at home for most of it.Check before you fly, splint removal, then photo or video follow-up; a named contact.Ask how long follow-up lasts and who answers.
ReviewsPatient reviews show what it was like to be treated.Reviews on the surgeon's own Google or Trustpilot profile, read in full, including the ones that mention problems.Read the profiles; see UK CMA: fake reviews guidance (CMA208).

&NewMe shows a surgeon's listed information in each profile and does not edit ratings. Commission does not affect the order of the rhinoplasty surgeon list.

1. Check training, specialty and hospital

In Turkey, rhinoplasty is done by plastic surgeons and by ENT surgeons with facial plastic training. Neither title is better for every nose: ENT surgeons are often chosen when breathing is part of the problem, plastic surgeons when the focus is shape. What matters is that the surgeon is trained, registered and does rhinoplasty often.

For the same checks on any treatment, see How to choose a surgeon in Turkey. Surgeons marked Verified by &NewMe have had these checks done by us (9 of the 9 named rhinoplasty surgeons with listed prices). How we verify.

2. Look at results for noses like yours

Ask for before-and-after photos of the surgeon's own patients, and look for a nose similar to yours: same starting shape, same skin, same goal. Photos taken at 12 months or later show the settled result; the nose is still swollen in the first weeks and months. Be careful with photos that are heavily edited, taken at different angles or light, or that you cannot link to the surgeon's own work.

If you have thick skin or want to keep your ethnic features, or you have had nose surgery before, ask for cases of that kind specifically.

3. Read reviews critically

Read reviews on the surgeon's own Google or Trustpilot profile, not only a clinic's website. Read the long ones and the critical ones: how a problem was handled says more than a five-star rating. Be wary of a sudden burst of similar five-star reviews, and of reviews that only praise the hotel or the coordinator. Ratings on &NewMe profiles come from Google and Trustpilot and are shown as published.

4. Compare quotes like for like

A first quote often shows only a headline price. Ask for a written quote that names the surgeon and the hospital and lists nights in hospital, anaesthesia, cartilage grafts, breathing correction, hotel, transfers, medication and follow-up. Two quotes are only comparable when they cover the same operation and the same extras.

Packages listed on &NewMe, set by 10 surgeons and hospital teams, start from €1,500; named surgeons list €1,880-€4,380 for a first rhinoplasty (live, 14 October 2026). Every price, by surgeon, is in the rhinoplasty cost guide.

5. Safety, revision and follow-up

Every operation has risks, including bleeding, infection, breathing problems and a result you are not happy with; the possibility of a revision is listed among them. Ask before you book:

  • Which hospital, which anaesthetist and how many nights?
  • What happens if I need a revision, and what does it cost?
  • What follow-up do I get after I fly home, and who do I contact if something worries me?
  • Is there insurance for complications, and what does it cover?

5 providers on &NewMe list a revision package; see the revision rhinoplasty guide. Tell your GP before you travel, and get medical help at home first in an emergency.

Red flags when choosing a rhinoplasty surgeon

Any one of these is a reason to slow down and ask more questions.

No named surgeon
"Our team" or "a top surgeon" instead of a name you can look up.
Photos you cannot trace
Results without dates, angles or a link to the surgeon's own patients.
Only the price is shown
A headline price with nothing on grafts, nights, anaesthesia or follow-up.
You never speak to the surgeon
Only sales staff answer, and the plan is decided before the surgeon has seen your nose.
A promise of a result
No surgeon can promise a result. Be wary of anyone who does.
Pressure to pay
A deposit to "hold the price" or a discount that ends today.
No answer on revision or follow-up
Nothing in writing on what happens if you need an adjustment.

What to send

Photos of your nose from the front, both sides, three-quarter angles and below, in daylight without filters, and a note on what bothers you and any earlier nose surgery. Choosing a rhinoplasty surgeon: questions

How do I choose a rhinoplasty surgeon in Istanbul?

Compare two or three surgeons on the same points: training and specialty, results for noses like yours, who operates and in which hospital, reviews, a written quote that lists what is included, revision policy and follow-up. The comparison table lists them.

Should I choose a plastic surgeon or an ENT surgeon?

Both do rhinoplasty in Turkey. ENT (facial plastic) surgeons are often chosen when breathing is part of the problem, and plastic surgeons when the focus is shape; many surgeons do both. What matters more is regular rhinoplasty experience and results for noses like yours.

How can I check a surgeon's credentials in Turkey?

Look them up in the Ministry of Health's HealthTürkiye health professionals directory, check the Turkish Society of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery member list for plastic surgeons and the EBOPRAS fellows list for the European board exam, and ask for their training and experience in the consultation.

Is there a best rhinoplasty surgeon in Turkey?

No single surgeon is right for every nose, and &NewMe does not name one. Choose the surgeon whose training, results for noses like yours, hospital, quote and follow-up fit you, and compare two or three in writing.

Are reviews a reliable guide?

They help when you read them critically: use the surgeon's own Google or Trustpilot profile, read the long and critical reviews, and be wary of bursts of similar five-star reviews. Ratings on &NewMe profiles are shown as published by Google and Trustpilot.

What should a rhinoplasty quote include?

The named surgeon and hospital, the exact operation, anaesthesia, nights in hospital, cartilage grafts, breathing correction, hotel and transfers if included, medication, follow-up and the revision policy. Ask for it in writing. Cost guide.

How do I compare prices between surgeons?

Only compare quotes for the same operation and the same extras. Listed packages on &NewMe start from €1,500; named surgeons list €1,880-€4,380 for a first rhinoplasty (14 October 2026). A low price is not a problem in itself, but ask what is left out.

Should I pick a surgeon with revision experience?

If you have had nose surgery before, yes: a revision is usually more complex. Ask how many revisions the surgeon does and to see revision cases. Revision rhinoplasty guide.

What follow-up should I expect after I fly home?

Usually a check before you fly, splint removal about a week after surgery, then photo or video follow-up. Ask each surgeon, in writing, how long follow-up lasts and who to contact if something worries you.
