Lipedema Surgery Cost in Turkey

Lipedema surgery packages from named surgeons on &NewMe cost €3,700-€9,900 per operation. What you pay depends mostly on the scope - which areas are treated and whether skin tightening is included - and on your stage:

Every package includes the operation, anaesthesia and the hospital stay. The rest differs by surgeon:

Hotel and transfers:

Usually extra with every surgeon: flights, travel insurance, extra areas or fat transfer, a spare compression garment and lymphatic drainage sessions after you are home. Your written quote lists exactly what is included.

Only a safe amount of fat can be removed in one operation, so larger cases are treated in stages - for example the legs first and the arms later, weeks to months apart. The NHS notes that you may need more than one operation.

• Stage 3 and lipo-lymphedema: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yener Demirtaş lists €6,900-€9,900 per operation and a second session is usually needed, priced separately - ask for both in one written quote.
• Legs and arms: some surgeons treat both in one operation (see the table), others plan a separate session for the arms.
• Each trip adds flights, hotel nights and time off work - add them to your budget for every stage.

Ask for a written staging plan before you travel: which areas in which operation, the price of each and the time between them.

• Compression garments: you wear a medical compression garment day and night for the first weeks, then for months as your surgeon advises (German lipedema guideline). One garment is included in some packages (see above); a spare to wear while the first is washed, and a new size as the swelling goes down, are usually extra.
• Lymphatic drainage: manual lymphatic drainage sessions after surgery are an add-on with some surgeons and usually extra at home - ask how many sessions your surgeon recommends.
• Time off: Cleveland Clinic says recovery from liposuction for lipedema can take four to six weeks, with no strenuous activity for about six weeks. Plan time off work and help at home.
• After you are home: follow-up is usually by message or video call; check-ups with your own doctor are at your cost.

Compression, movement and weight management usually stay part of life with lipedema, before and after surgery.
